SULLIGENT, Ala. — Sandra Lynn Franklin Black, 66, died Nov. 17, 2025, at her residence. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, at Otts Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Black was born June 26, 1959, in Vernon, Alabama, to Ann Morgan Franklin and the late J.T. Franklin. She was a graduate of Sulligent High School and was formerly employed at Health-Tex, Home Health and Mental Health Group Homes. She was a member of Sulligent Methodist Church. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ronnie Black; daughter, Ashley Barnes of Sulligent; step-sons, Greg Black, Chris Black, both of Sulligent and Dalton Black of Beaverton, Alabama; brother, Gary Franklin; and sisters, Diane Griffin of Vernon.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Black, Greg Black, Justin McAdams, Tony Franklin, Mike Franklin and Merle Colvin.
