STARKVILLE — Samuel Robert “Sinbad” Paige, 68, died Feb. 6, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Memorial Gardens of Columbus, with Willie Bays Jr. officiating. Burial will follow. No visitation will be held. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Paige was born April 2, 1957, in Gries am Brenner, Austria, to the late Anna Karoline Schiller and Earl Walton Paige. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was formerly employed as a construction worker with Becon and Yates Construction and at Event Security at Mississippi State University.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Samir Spruill.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Bays-Paige; children, Miranda Allen of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Stephen Paige and Shayla Paige, both of Starkville; brother, Frank Lofton of Lawton, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
