COLUMBUS — Sammy “Big Bo” T. Harris Sr., 44, died Aug. 10, 2025.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Motley Cemetery. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Harris was born Oct. 6, 1980, in West Point, to Booker T. James and Bobbie Harris. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Sammy Harris Jr. and Travion Lucious, both of Columbus; daughter, Takaia Harris of Mendenhall; brothers, Mario Harris of Gary, Indiana, Marcus Harris of Starkville, Willie Harris, Tony Bailey and Markett Elliot, all of Columbus; sister, Kathleen James of Columbus; and one grandchild.
