COLUMBUS — Sammie Lee Smith, 63, died Oct. 4, 2025, in West Point.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Service, with Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith was born July 17, 1962, in Aberdeen, to Edna Smith and James White. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Smith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Tuneka Smith of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Antonio Smith of Texas; siblings, Annie Durrah, Steven Smith and Jimmie Smith, all of Columbus, Lori Smith of Marietta, Georgia, and Willie Smith of Belden; and a host of grandchildren.
