COLUMBUS — Samella Coley, 78, died April 5, 2026.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Coley was born Feb. 3, 1948, in Columbus, to the late Willie Ease Coley. She was formerly employed at MS Housing Authority and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara Jean Neal, Jimmie Will Psalms, Ruby Jean Brownlee, Eddie Will Coley, Troy Lee Coley, Elisha Coley and Elijah Coley. 

She is survived by her siblings, Johnny Will Coley, James Dean Coley, both of Flint, Michigan, Freddie Lee Coley, Robert Earl Coley, Arlena Coley, Denise Coley-Hawkins, all of Columbus, Willie James Coley and Rickey Lee Coley Sr., both of Huntsville, Alabama.
