COLUMBUS — Sally R. Brownlee, 87, died July 30, 2025, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Canaan M.B. Church, with the Rev. Al Lathan officiating. There will be no visitation. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brownlee was born March 16, 1938, in Columbus, to the late Henry Richey and Mary Lee Richey. She was a member of Canaan M.B. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Brownlee; and siblings, William Richey, Roy Richey and Henry Richey.

She is survived by her children, Jeffery Brownlee, David Brownlee, Johnnie Brownlee-King and Darrell W. Brownlee; siblings, Ruth Williams, Charlie Richey, Mary Barlow, Johnny Richey, Henrietta Richey, Bobbie Richey, Doris Johnson and Tommy Richey; 12 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
