VERNON, Ala. — Ruby Lee Boman, 83, died Feb. 5, 2026, at her residence. 

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Boman was born Oct. 12, 1942, in Gattman, to the late Lee B. and Virgie White. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William White and Jody White; and one grandchild. 

She is survived by her husband, Sammie G. “Jack” Boman; sons, Alton Boman of Vernon, Eldon Boman and Richard Boman, both of Gattman; sisters, Alice Whittington and Melanie Smith;  five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
