Roy Plymon

ETHELSVILLE, Ala. — Roy Gene Plymon, 81, died Jan. 16, 2026, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Plymon was born May 29, 1944, in McShan, to the late Roy Hubert Plymon and Cherry Alice Fant Plymon. He was a graduate of Pickens County High School and was formerly employed as a machinist with Burford Electric in Columbus. He served as Pastor of Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sue C. Plymon of Ethelsville; children, Landy Plymon McDill of Ethelsville, Many Plymon Crowe of Gordo, and Roy Allen Plymon of Hayden; siblings, Mike Plymon of South Port, North Carolina, and Barbara Fulcher of Louisville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Bobby Cowart, Jerry Perrigin, Tim Brasher, Bob Walker, Jackson Posey and Hunter McLaughlin.
