COLUMBUS — Roosevelt Leigh Sr., 84, died June 1, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Oak Grove M.B. Church, with the Rev. Therman Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Leigh was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Columbus, to the late Robert E. Leigh Sr. and Angeline Lee. He attended Concord Elementary School, R.E. High High School and East Mississippi Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was formerly employed with Omnova Solutions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobbie Lou Harrison, Melvina Hodge and Robert E. Leigh Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Leigh; sons, Demetrice Leigh and Roosevelt Leigh Jr.; two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Roz Cunningham Sr., Tyrone Cunningham, Therman Cunningham Jr., Emile Hughes, Durrell Williams, Rafeal White Sr., Michael Hughes and Brandon White.
