SULLIGENT, Ala. — Roger Harris, 78, died June 24, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with Lon Moon and Craig Manley officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harris was born Aug. 15, 1946, in Woodburn, Kentucky, to the late Lena Jewell and William Harris. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Vietnam, and was formerly employed with Tom’s Peanut Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Faye Simpson, Bobby Ray, Charles and Joe Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Harris; son, Troy A. Harris; adopted children, Tina Register, Patrick and Kyle Register; siblings, Gayle Lee and Don Harris; adopted brothers, Tommy Sams and Woody Latham; and one grandchild.
