STARKVILLE — Rochelle Mason, 61, died Nov. 30, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Oktibbeha County.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Second Baptist Church, with Cory Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. Friday at Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mason was born July 4, 1964, in Starkville, to the late Willie Charles Wilks and Moudean Mason. He was a 1982 graduate of Starkville High School and was formerly employed as a custodian with Mississippi State University. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Loretta Gillespie and Elvis Mason.

He is survived by his children, Anton Duck, Rovon Duck, Dejuan Duck and Brittany Duck; siblings, Sanford Mason, Felicia Pruitt, Louella Calmes, Clarita Quinn and LaSonya Holland; and three grandchildren.
