STARKVILLE — Robert Bruce Doughty Jr., 87, died May 3, 2026.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-3 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Doughty was born to the late Bruce and Lyda Doughty. He was a graduate of Pickens County High School and Auburn University. He was formerly employed with Huyck Felt Company in Aliceville and as Vice President of Operations with Niagara Lockport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Doughty Wynn; and sister, Carolyn McAdams.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Byars Doughty; children, Robert Bruce Doughty III, Mitzi Doughty Hurst and Susan Doughty Fishel; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers are Rob Doughty, Jake Doughty, Jon Hurst, Chad Fishel, Jordan Scott and Bobby Wynn.
