COLUMBUS — Raymond Curtis Temple, 80, died Oct. 11, 2010. Graveside services will be held at Cook-Temple Cemetery on County Road 12 in Ethelsville, Ala., on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Wright officiating. W.D. Jackson Funeral Home in Willow Grove, Pa., has charge of arrangements. Mr. Temple was born Oct. 18, 1929, to Newte and Velma Temple in Pickens County, Ala. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He lived in St. Louis, Mo., for most of his life and was a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. He also owned several businesses and retired as an independent truck driver. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Andrew and Alva N. Temple; and three sisters, Ruzzelle Lamar, Virginia Munford and Kitty Gregory. He is survived by a son, Stephen Temple; daughters, Helen Johnson, Shirley Stephenson and Marilyn Reynolds, all of St. Louis; sister, Rubye Locke of Columbus; brothers, Warren Temple of St. Louis, and Abraham Temple of Birmingham, Ala.
