COLUMBUS — Quincy “Jack” Lashawn Holmes, 30, died Oct. 10, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Mt. Ary M.B. Church in Brooksville, with James Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Holmes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Holmes was born Nov. 6, 1994, in Columbus, to Sammie Holmes Jr. and Mary Ann Holmes. He attended Noxubee County High School and was formerly employed by Amazon. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Daisha Holmes; children, Kharlie Shanklin and Kayleigh Holmes, both of Columbus; and siblings, Cassandra Holmes of Brooksville, Victoria Thompson, Sammie Holmes III, both of Columbus and Kimberly Holmes of Brandon. 

Pallbearers will be Theodus Blair, Tavorius Slaughter, Terrance Rice, James Brandy, Laderious Clemons and Reggie Moody.
