COLUMBUS — Peggy Ann Lowery, 81, died Aug. 23, 2025, at her residence.

No services will be held at this time. Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Lowery was born Aug. 23, 1944, in Monticello, Arkansas, to the late Margaret McPherson Lowery and Thomas Onzie Lowery. She was formerly employed as a security guard at Beneke.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Devin Cagle.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Artus and Yolanda Lancaster; sister, Linda Haley; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
