STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Peggy Joyce McGahey Jaynes, 77, died April 6, 2026. 

Funeral services will be at noon April 18 at Skelton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ethelsville Baptist Church cemetery in Reform. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Jaynes was born to the late Parker and Helen Ponds. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Allen McGahey; son, Kenny Darin McGahey; sisters, Luzette Lombard, Hattie Dobbins and Virginia Byars; and brother, Glen Ponds.

She is survived by her son, Jeff McGahey; brothers, Billy Ponds, Daniel Ponds and Ricky Pongs; one grandchild; one step-grandchild; and two step-grandchildren.
