Paul Rex Ray, 77, passed away on July 5, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

He was born on May 5, 1948, in Pontotoc, Mississippi. A longtime resident of Columbus, Paul was
a gifted musician and dedicated music teacher, sharing his love of guitar and piano with students for many years. His calm demeanor, patient teaching, and passion for music left a lasting impact on his community.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Edmondson Ray.

He is survived by his son, Paul Andre Ray; daughters, Marian Sherene Ray and Nitra Paige Latta; and three grandsons, Troy, Ryan and Nico. He is also remembered by a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus, MS.
