MILLPORT, Ala. — Patsy Ruth McGee, 85, died April 3, 2026.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with James Godsey and Jeff Long officiating. A graveside service will follow at Walnut Grove. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon iss in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McGee was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Sulligent, to the late Brad and Ruby O’Mary Merchant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McGee; and children, Laura Ruth Vice, Jackie Hood, Jimmie Hood, Kelly Ray Hood and Janet Lee Hood.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann Godfrey and Janet Barnes; 10 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Eddie Vice, Johnny Vice, Lee Page, Tony Hayes, Rickey Hayes and Joey Knight.
