Patricia Ann Cubon, 86, passed away peacefully at her home on June 23, 2026, in Maben, MS.

She was born on July 5, 1939, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Thomas Blake and Anna King Blake. Pat was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend to so many. She lived a life full of love, warmth, and quiet strength. She had a lifelong love for horses, finding joy, peace and companionship in them. She was also a devoted Mississippi State fan. Saturdays in the fall were always spent cheering on the Bulldogs. She loved gardening, canning, and growing flowers. She will be remembered for her kindness and gentle spirit.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James T. Cubon; and beloved husband of 64 years, James Grant Cubon.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo Forsythe of Gadsden, AL, Barbara Cubon of Maben, MS, and Beverly Ann Williams (Bobby) of Maben, MS; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Bro. Brant Bolden will conduct the service. Burial will be in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery in Starkville.
