COLUMBUS — Patina “Tina” Marie Hughes, 56, died July 29, 2025, at UAB Hospital-Birmingham, Alabama. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Hughes was born July 31, 1969, in Mississippi, to the late Derwood and Willie Ruth Hughes. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria McDavid. 

She is survived by her daughters, Shauntae Hughes, Jasmine Hughes, Teresa Hughes and Amber McDowell; sisters, Delois Jethrow, Theresa Barjona and Deborah Hughes; and brothers, Michael Hughes and Drewood Hughes. 

Pallbearers will be Vincent Jethrow, Eric Hughes, Timothy Hughes, Michael Hughes Jr. and Roderick McDavid.
