COLUMBUS — Otis Jerrell Briggs, 86, died Jan. 15, 2026, at his residence. 

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at Magnolia Funeral Home, East Chapel in Corinth. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at Magnolia Funeral Home. Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Briggs was born Jan. 1, 1940, in Corinth, to the late George Clayton Briggs and Donnie Christine Jones Briggs. He was formerly employed in maintenance and repair. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Murphy Briggs.
