COLUMBUS — Ola Mae Taylor, 64, died Dec. 19, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Maranatha Faith Center, with Kurus Jamison officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12-5 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Taylor was born Sept. 20, 1961, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Annie Taylor. She was a graduate of Gordo High School and was formerly employed at the Department of Mental Health and J.W. Hunt Group Home. She was a member of Maranatha Faith Center. 

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jessie, George, Willie and William Edwards; and sister, Gladys Burrough. 

She is survived by her children, Timothy Owens, April Taylor and Emily Mixon; siblings, Estella Edwards, Patricia Edwards, Robert Edwards, Wimberly Edwards Jr. and Charles Edwards; and 11 grandchildren.
