WEST POINT – Nathaniel Walker, 67, died May 2, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Fountain Head M.B. Church, with Donald Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Walker was born Sept. 12, 1958, in West Point, to Andrew Dyson and Lizzie Pearl Walker. He was formerly employed as a truck driver. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Walker; and sister, Mary Hines. 

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Walker; daughters, Natreka Kelly of Katy, Texas, and Shardae Young of Hattiersburg; brother, Andrew Dyson Jr.; sisters, Gloria Ramsey of West Point, Virginia Bush, Alice Guice and Vickie Jones, all of Columbus; and five grandchildren.
