NOXUBEE COUNTY – Nathaniel Toby Hopkins, 64, died March 24, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Bigbee Valley CME Church in Brooksville, with Sophia Cooksey officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Macon. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hopkins was born April 7, 1961, in Noxubee County, to the late Marshall Turner and Ada Lee Stowers. He was formerly employed at Bryan Foods and was a member of Unity CME Church. He is survived by his children, Kendall Chandler, Nakimbria White, Myeashia McCoy, all of Macon, Tobairo Hopkins, Katchia Hopkins, Zirconia Corbin, all of Carthage and Corey Watt of West Point; siblings, Lynell Clemons of East St. Louis, Illinois, Clarice Holmes, Mable Hopkins, both of Brooksville, Stanley Hokins, Lilliam Gillespie, Octavia Stowers, all of Macon and Mesheka Hughes of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kobe Hopkins, Casey Williams Jr., Lionell Richie Jr., Khristopher White, Patrick Holmes and Tyrone McNeese Jr.
