WEST POINT – Rebecca Myrle Turnman, 83, died Dec. 10, 2025, at Dugan Memorial Home.

No services will be held. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Turman was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Harrison, Arkansas, to the late J. Lester Murphy and Pauline Leona Mays Murphy. She was formerly employed with Turner’s Truck Stop in Mathiston and was a member of Midway Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-brother, Delbert Mays.

She is survived by her son, David Smith of Demopolis; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
