WEST POINT — Montez Fulgham Ganss, 97, died Sept. 25, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Calvert Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chad Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ganss was born July 3, 1928, in Clay County, to the late Daniel Albert and Lorena Gosa Thompson. She attended Delta State University and was formerly employed with Miller Brothers Dairy, the Bank of West Point, and Pennebaker Concrete. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in West Point.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Doyce Edwin Fulgham and Robert Emil Ganss; and brother, Wayne Thompson.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Fulgham of West Point; step-son, Scott Murrah of Columbus; one grandchild; five step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Randel Whitmire, Scott O’Brian, Robert Clark, Steve Clark, Houston Clark, Sam Clark, Drew Murrah and Charlie Winfield.
