PRAIRIE — Missouri Wilson, 97, died Oct. 30, 2025, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Cross Road C.M.E. Church, with Cheryl Penson officiating. Burial will follow at Sykes Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Wilson was born May 9, 1928, in Monroe County, to the late Otto Wilson and Callie Carothers Wilson. She was formerly employed as an educator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Orsie “Ossie Wilson Sr., Mason Wilson, Otto Wilson Jr., Ned Wilson, Eula Mae Wilson Jones, Sallie Ellen Wilson Barnett, Ruby Jack, Louise Wilson, Eliza Wilson Harrison and Callie Wilson Landrum.
