COLUMBUS — Mirk L. Abrams Jethrow, 91, died Feb.9, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at 15th Street Church of God in Christ, with the Rev. Dedrick Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Stallion Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Full Gospel Ministries. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jethrow was born Jan. 26, 1935, in Bigbee Valley, to the late Joe N. Abrams Sr. and Beatrice Gavin Moore. She was formerly employed as a prep cook and custodian with the Officers Club of the Columbus Air Force Base. She was a member of Full Gospel Ministries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie J. Jethrow; stepfather, the Rev. James Moore; sons, Tyrone Gardner, Johnny Henderson and Gary Griffin Sr.; siblings, James Moore Jr., Marvin Moore, Michael Moore, William Hosea and Bettie Latham; and one grandchild.
She is survived by her children, Sherman Henderson, Debra Hill, Carl Gardner, Herman Jethrow, Eddie Jethrow Jr., Lawonda Troupe, Everett Jethrow, Yalanda Nixon, Mary Coleman and Sheila Thompson, all of Columbus, and Joyce A. King of Detroit, Michigan; siblings, Ruby Anderson, Apostle Maxine Hall, Shirley Jones, the Rev. Johnny Moore, Isaac Moore and Barbara Richardson, all of Columbus, and Diane Mitchell of Stanton, Virginia; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
