Millard Daniel (Salt) Jones, 72, passed away on October 1, 2025, at his home in Amory, Mississippi. Salt was born on May 27, 1953, in Sweetwater, Texas and grew up in Quitaque, Texas.

In 1985, Salt was commissioned as an international missionary through the International Mission
Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention serving until 2016 in Taiwan and Canada. Salt was married to Susan Puckett, from Columbus, Mississippi. After some years in Lubbock, Texas, the couple relocated to Amory, Mississippi.

Salt is survived by his wife, Susan Puckett Jones; mother, Ann Jones Chadwick; brother, Pepper Jones; sister, Candy Jones Kern; and numerous extended family members.

Salt was preceded in death by his father, Millard Crabill Jones.

A celebration of Salt’s life was held on November 8, 2025, in Quitaque, TX.
