KENNEDY, Ala. — Michelle Phillips, 52, died Feb. 11, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. 

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Chandler Funeral Home, with Gary Seay and Ronnie Elmore officiating. Burial followed at Furnace Hill. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon, Alabama, was in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Phillips was born May 21, 1973, in Columbus, to the late Jimmy and Sarah Dean McDaniel. She was a graduate of Lamar County High School and the University of Alabama. She was a  member of Springfield Free Will Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Phillips; and sister, Melissa McDaniel of Vernon.

Pallbearers were Byron McDaniel, Daniel Fondron, Dalton Williams, Grant Williams, Austin Stokes, David Stokes, Dylan House and McCory Humphres.
