WEST BLOCTON, Ala. — Michael Joseph Wood, 42, died Aug. 6, 2025, in Jasper, Alabama. 

There will be no services at this time. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent, Alabama, is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Wood was born July 23, 1983, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the late Teresa Darlene Wood. He was a graduate of West Blocton High School and was formerly employed at Farley Marble & Granite in McCalla, Alabama, and Randy Smalley Floor and Tile LLC in Northport, Alabama. 

He is survived by his sons, Braylon Wood of West Blocton and Brenden Jennings of Jacksonville, Alabama; brother, Cody Hill of Southern Pines, North Carolina; and one grandchild.
