CALEDONIA — Melvin Bradley, 74, died Oct. 21, 2025, at his residence. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Anderson Grove M.B. Church in Steens, with Willie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Steens. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bradley was born March 28, 1951, in Steens, to the late Greorge Bradley and Rosie Henry. He was a veteran of the National Guard and was a member of Anderson Grove M.B. Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas T. Butler; and sisters, Pricilla Clark, Ruth Oliver and Josie Shields.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bradley; children, Calvin Butler, Tessie Randle, Tonya McKinney and Randy Randle; siblings, Thomas Bradley, Leon Bradley, Ervin Bradley, Jerome Bradley, Kirby Edwards, Mary Ann Lawrence and Hattie Blair; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be A.J. Wyatt, Tommie Kidd, Howard Shelly, Tracey Blair, Arthur Westbrook, Jessie Williams, Derrick Shaw and Trifari Shields.
