STEENS  — Melissa Sands, 56, died July 25, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

There will be no services at this time. Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Boze Rast; and brother, Bobby Rast. 

She is survived by children, Tiffany Presley and Brandon Sands; and four grandchildren.
