COLUMBUS — Meco “Bird” Nicole Reed, 58, died Aug. 22, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Shiloh Full Gospel M.B. Church, with Craig Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Reed was born May 16, 1967, in Columbus, to Mary Alice Morris. She was formerly employed as a supervisor at Airbus Helicopter and was a member of Abundant Life Christian Church. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Tyshiwon L. Morris. 

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Reed; daughter, Rayon D. Greason of Columbus; and siblings, Geisha Davis of Columbus and Laronza Morris of Sugarland, Texas.
