ACKERMAN — Maurice “Maury” Rudolph Black, 54, died Oct. 31, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. 

There will be no services at this time.  Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Black was born Oct. 7, 1971, in Greenwood, to the late Bo Black Jr. and Becky Downing Black. He was formerly employed as a chef. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Black. 

He is survived by his sister, Amy Elizabeth Black.
