COLUMBUS — Maureen Hood Roberts, 68, died July 8, 2025, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Zion Gate M.B. Church, with the Rev. James A. Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation is from noon-5 p.m. Friday at Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes Chapel. Hairston and Hairston Funeral Homes of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Roberts was born July 5, 1957, in Columbus, to the late Harriet Hood and Will Hood. She attended Columbus City Schools and was a graduate of Caldwell High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Will Mixon.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Roberts.
