SHUQUALAK — Mary Avist Ash Williams, 81, died June 6, 2014, at her residence. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Shuqualak with the Rev. Richard Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery in Macon. Visitation is today from 1-5 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel and one hour prior to service time at the church. Ms. Williams was born in Noxubee County on April 13, 1033 to the late Noble Ash Sr. and Hattie Show. She was formerly employed as a personal manager. She is survived by her sister, Betty Boughn of Venice, California, Annie Lawton of Lancaster, California, and Alice Smith of Santa Monica, California; and a brother, Roosevelt Ash of Venice.
