Mary Nell Corbett Partain, age 90, of Caledonia, MS, passed away July 10, 2025, at her residence.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Joe Mosely officiating. A private interment will immediately follow at Rowan
Cemetery of Caledonia. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Partain was born September 21, 1934, in Vernon, AL, to the late James Edward and Margie Pauline Elliott Corbett, Sr. She retired from United Technologies after 41 years. Mrs. Partain was a member of Border Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed leading the Primetimers. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining, sewing, fishing, decorating, and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Williequinn Vail; brothers, James Edward Corbett, Jr. and Bennie Corbett; and sisters- in-law, Floy J. York and Barbara Beatty.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, John H. Partain, Jr. of Caledonia, MS; son, Harold Partain and his wife, Karen of Caledonia, MS; daughter, Wanda McKnight and her husband, Early of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters-in-law, Lavelle Corbett of Vernon, AL, Nell Corbett of Caledonia, MS, and Emma Jane Wiggins of Caledonia, MS; brothers-in-law, William Beatty of Columbus, MS, and Jeffrey Duncan and his wife, Robin of Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Ryan Partain, Carson McKnight and his wife, Kelsey, and Hunter McKnight; and great-grandchildren, Ariel Partain, Kyra Partain, Eli Jones, Amelia McKnight and Oliver McKnight.

Pallbearers will be Carson McKnight, Ryan Partain, Tommy Collier, Mitch Wiggins, Joey Vail, and Mike Corbett.
