CEDAR BLUFF — Mary Ruth Hill, 89, died Aug. 15, 20225, at her residence. 

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Todd Chesser officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Hill was born June 18, 1936, in Cedar Bluff, to the late Lonnie and Alme Mae Williams. She was a graduate of West Point High School and Mississippi University for Women. She was formerly employed as a teacher and was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Hill; daughters, Mary Gayle Wylie and Julie Ann Fulton; sister, Annie Long; and brother, Cecil Williams. 

She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Collums of Cedar Bluff; three grandchildren; and five grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Jackie Mauney, Tim Mauney, Anthony Mauney, Joseph Johnson, Sam May and Jeffrey Gray.
