STARKVILLE  — Marvin James Wordlaw, 63, died Jan. 3, 2026, in Starkville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Stephens M.B. Church in Macon. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston. Visitation is from noon-6 p.m. Friday at West Memorial Funeral Home. West Memorial Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Lekorsha Wordlaw of Starkville; children, Marvin of Omaha, Nebraska, Marquita Ward, Lacraium Bluitt, Latoocha MuCurry, LaAndria Thomas, Ozerion Harris-Wordlaw, Maleah Wordlaw and Makyla Wordlaw, all of Starkville, Kasey Calvert of West Point, Jamie Logan of Houston, and Tamera Robinson of Dallas, Texas; and siblings, Willyne Brownlee of Maben, Jeanette Kelly Wordlaw, Arthur Jr. Wordlaw, Terra Robinson, Sharon Jordan and Aruthur Jr. Wordlaw, all of Starkville, and Timothy Wordlaw of Faribault, Minnesota.
