GREENWOOD, Ind. — Marla Jenay Butler, 51, died Dec. 17, 2025. 

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at New Baptist Temple M.B. Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Jeremiah Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Stallion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Butler was born Sept. 4, 1974, in Columbus, to Peggy Williams Butler and the late Daton Butler. She was a graduate of New Hope High School and Mississippi University for Women and attended Mississippi State University. She was formerly employed as a finance manager at MacAllister Machinery. She was a member of Eastern Star Church. 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fredrick Butler; and sister, Monica Butler. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, AnnDrea Butler of Chicago, Illinois, Anietra Gray and Malcolm Pope of Indianapolis, Indiana; and sisters, Vickey Butler Turner of Grand Prairie, Texas, Lakesha Butler of Saltillo and Alina Butler.
