COLUMBUS — Markis Jabari Liddell, 42, died April 12, 2026.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Running Water Baptist Church in Shuqualak, with the Morris Liddell Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Liddell was born Sept. 27, 1983, in Columbus, to the late Marcus and Mary Liddell. He attended Noxubee County School, Columbus Schools and Job Corp. He was formerly employed as a restaurant manager. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Dontarious Peoples. 

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Liddell; son, Jaquis Liddell; two step-children; and six grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Jaquis Liddell, Vaniel Shesan Liddell, Devegas James Liddell, JR Hooper, Somijae Brandon Liddell and Delmario Liddell.
