CALEDONIA — Mark Junior Butler, 52, died Jan. 7, 2026, at his residence. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Oak Grove M.B. Church in Columbus, with Leroy Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Butler was born Feb. 15, 1973, in Aberdeen, to the late Sammie Truelove Sr. and Shirley Butler. He attended Caledonia Schools and was formerly employed at Wongo Car Care, Premier Ford and Peco Foods. He was a member of EL Bethel M.B. Church. 

He is survived by his fiancé, Nicki Bryan; step-father, Robert Sanders; children, Demarcus Sanders, Keshon Butler, Ahmari Butler and Khaleigh Hiles; siblings, Catina Butler, James Butler, Sammie Lee Truelove Jr., Tammy McShelle Truelove-King; Janice Marie Martin, Dorothy Brooks, Tony Hackman, Lonnie Pratt and Leroy Hampton; and two grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Anthony Wells, Muwango Harris, Rone Burgin Jr., Courtney Brooks, Troy Kirkley, Jack Britton and Fred Jackson.
