SULLIGENT, Ala. — Mark Wayne Burnett, 66, died Feb. 16, 2026, in Sulligent, Alabama.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with Jeff Chaffin officiating. Burial followed at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Burnett was born Nov. 23, 1959, in Vernon, to the late Benny Brix Burnett and Jimmie Nell Marks. He was a 1978 graduate of Sullient High School and was formerly employed as a truck driver and in the sales department with Marathon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Morris.

He is survived by his sons, Dustin Burnett of Pontotoc, Derrek Burnett, Dalton Burnett and Devin Burnett, all of Sulligent; siblings, Mike Burnett and Brenda Burnett, both of Sulligent; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jace Burnett, Eli Magnuson, Patrick Morris, Colby Hollis, Brix Burnett, Ben Burnett and Brady Burnett.
