COLUMBUS — Marie Wharton Nabors, 95, died July 7, 2025, in Columbus.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Millport City Cemetery, in Millport, Alabama. Visitation will be from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at Dowdle Funeral Home. Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Nabors was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Pickens County, to the late John C. Wharton and Mamie Wharton. She was a member of Millport Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Doyce W. Nabors; son, Arnold Nabors; and sister, Evelyn Shaw.

She is survived by her children, Gary Nabors and Janice Little; and five grandchildren.
