Margean Ashcraft, age 97, died Saturday January 3, 2026, at her residence in Columbus.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday January 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with Bro. David Honeycutt and Bro. Brad Wright officiating.

Mrs. Ashcraft was born on August 27, 1928, in Fayette, Alabama, to the late Walter Johnson and Ressie Bell Owens Johnson. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a retired manager from the Quality Stamp Store.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lenwood Stokes Ashcraft; her sisters, Maxine Ruffin and Jeanette Williams; her brother, Pete Johnson; and her son-in-law, Wayne Harris.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Harris; her son, Joey Ashcraft (Sandra); her sister, Ann Camp; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
