Margaret Odessa Sprayberry, 89, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 2, 2025, at her residence surrounded by family.

The visitation will Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Wes Jones officiating. The burial will follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery in Vernon, Alabama. Lowndes Funeral Home entrusted with all arrangements.

Mrs. Sprayberry was born August 14, 1936, in Cropwell, Alabama, to the late Harvey and Willie Mae Barker. She enjoyed traveling with her husband prior to his death, and loved spending time with her family and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also, she was a charter member of Community Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. At home, she loved working with her flowers and in the yard and cooked for anyone who visited.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sprayberry is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Sprayberry; and siblings, Wiley Barker, Bill Barker, Thomas Barker, Robert Barker, Francis Edwards, and Geraldine Barker.

Mrs. Sprayberry is survived by her children, Pam (Jeff) Hankins and Phil (Patsy) Sprayberry; grandchildren, Nikki Sprayberry, Phillip (Courtney) Sprayberry, Jr., and Keith (Jen) Hankins; great- grandchildren, Shelby Sprayberry, Phillip “Tripp” Sprayberry, III, and Rhett Sprayberry; brother, Doug (Barbara) Barker; and sisters-in-law, Stella Barker and Judy Barker.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Sprayberry, Jr., Tom Green, Sam Anderson, Dale Hardin, Byron Weeks, and Rob Moore.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Carolyn Haynes, Liddie Anderson, Debra Rhinewalt, and Jim and Charlene Cook.
