Margaret McMinn Hester, 84, died May 11, 2014. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Starkville First United Methodist Church with Dr. Giles Lindley and Dr. Prentiss Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is today from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. Mrs. Hester was born April 2, 1930, in Sturgis, to the late Shed and Annie Lou McMinn. She is survived by her husband, Leslie R. Hester; sons, Robert Hester of Jackson, Charles Hester and Richard Hester, both of Starkville; daughter, Lynn Moran of Tullahoma, Tennessee; sister, Neola Hildreth of Columbus; brother, William McMinn of Douglasville, Georgia; and seven grandchildren.
