DETROIT, Ala. — Margaret June Hanratty, 74, died Jan. 10, 2026, at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Detroit Church of God, with B.J. Mills and Aaron Gann officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Otts Funeral Home. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hanratty was born Dec. 25, 1951, in Sulligent, to the late Alvis “Hershel” Thompson and Exie Mae Herron Thompson. She was a 1970 graduate of Sulligent High School, attended college in Phil Campbell, and was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. She was a member of Detroit Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hanratty of Detroit; children, Heath Hanratty of Sulligent and Brittany Enlow of Detroit; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jack Hanratty, Ryan Enlow, Ian Enlow, Judson Hulsey, Brantly Gann and Blayne Saine.
