COLUMBUS — Lymon Ray Pannell, 73, died May 1, 2026, at his residence. 

There will be no services at this time. Lowndes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Pannell was born Feb. 19, 1953, in Alabama, to the late Walton Pannell and Eloise Pannell. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patty Lee Pannell; and brother, Larry Eugene Pannell. 

He is survived by his children, Lymon Lucas Pannell, Carrie Lynn Pannell, Julia Pannell and Lindsey Ray Pannell; siblings, Carolyn Van Diver, Janet Usher and Jimmy Pannell; and one grandchild.
